O Beautiful

It's our great big USA's birthday!  My heart swells when we all rise to pledge allegiance and when I see the field of stars and rows of stripes.

I'm a big fan of this cluster of 50 states...50 UNITED states.

"O Beautiful, for spacious skies..." this chorus is what echos in my spirit when I see photos of our states on a map.

Because, this nation is simply beautiful.  Our energetic spirits that weave together for united causes are beautiful.  Our landscapes from coast to coast are beautiful.  Our hearts that beat in unison for a full life are beautiful.

I didn't make this bit of handmade loveliness, I ordered it from etsy and I'm in {double love} with it! I customized it by adding a tiny red heart to my hometown where I was born and raised.  This embroidery hoop is now one of my new favorite treasures!

Our home sweet home is dressed for the 4th with little accents boasting with affection for our country.

I love how well Americans stand together with care in times of need, how Americans color this world with our enthusiasm and creativity, and how Americans move mountains in this world, while still holding fast to tradition.  That's our country, land that I love.

The blessings we enjoy in America are true gifts, and I hope we never take them for granted or allow them to slip from our grasp.  In prayer, in thought, in action, we should stand to help our country remain good and great.

I hope you all LOVE your summer holiday this 4th of July!
Celebrate because there is so much worth celebrating
in this land of the free and
home of the brave!

It fills my heart that you and Chris are raising your sons to love America and our freedom. May our freedom continue to ring through their generation and beyond.

Hey Lisa-
Do you remember which Etsy shop you purchased the embroidary piece-love it and would like to have the artist custom create something for me. . . not at all like yours though.
