Finding tranquility in Salt, Milk, and Tea baths (plus an inside tour of the swanky homemade soap shop: Osmia!)

One of my brand new favorite things (like brown packages tied up with string) is running crystal clear water into my cozy tub after the buzz of day is done and getting to choose what type of restorative bath I want to take for the night!

I have been focusing on a physical healing journey these past few months as my body is recovering from physical issues.  I have been blogging less as I've dedicated my focus on personal health.  During this time I've discovered NEW things in my life that I am in double love with!  I never imagined I would ever enjoy these new relaxing things but I am absorbing every moment.  I was the girl who never wanted to take a bath...ever, ever...because it felt like a waste of time.  I was also the girl who thought Yoga and stretching seemed too boring.  How could I ever hold a stretch for longer than 5 seconds without losing interest??

However, wrapping my fingers around hot cups of tea, dipping my toes into salt baths, spending time being aware of my body with new exercises and reflections have changed my life recently, bringing my soul to center.

I have been learning how to

slow down and

just be.

Simple concepts that promote great benefits in all of my todays.

My super cool husband always makes me a cup of tea when I take a bath!  Tea, as I mentioned,  is another one of my new favorite things that I will be sharing more about soon.

I want to share about all of these new loves of mine: tea, baths, reflective exercise, body awareness, and more!  But today I'm talking all about the BATHS.  I've been on a quest to discover beautiful bath products so I can enjoy a spa experience in my own home sweet home ANYTIME.

I always get so excited to have handmade bars of soaps ready to use in my bathroom.  This fun tiny detail makes an ordinary life extraordinary.  You all KNOW how much I adore handmade soap right?  I've mentioned it here ... here, and oh...here before too!

Wellll....In my search for beautiful skin and bath products, I found Osmia Organics located in the mighty mountains of Carbondale, Colorado.

I've been reading Osmia's blog for awhile and was super excited to stop in her retail shop when we spent a family weekend up in Aspen this spring.

on a hike overlooking Carbondale

I couldn't wait to arrive at Osmia Organics retail space.  They sell more than bath products!  Osmia offers natural perfumes and skin care products too.  Osmia's products are earthy and natural, keeping your skin free from harmful substances.

Our whole little family arrived for a tour of this gorgeous soap-making facility.

Sarah, owner of Osmia, has found her element.   Sarah's passion is evident and her skills and knowledge of her products are amazing!
This is the back kitchen, where she works her luxurious magic.

Osmia's Retail is modern but feminine, with clean lines and fresh decor.

Skin product heaven for me! ;)  The thing that most stands out about Osmia is the quality in every detail.  I highly value quality and these products are TOP!  Even the packaging is simply and beautifully designed with high quality.

Today I want to share all about the BATHS since I have been focusing on salt baths to relax my muscles and give reprieve to my body.

Osmia Organics provides three unique bath products: French Grey Sea Salt baths, Organic Tea baths, and Organic Milk baths.

This tranquil French grey sea salt mixed with essential oils is my favorite!  It gives a gentle cleanse in luxury.

The tea bath is a brand new concept that I had never heard of before!  Dipping your body into organic tea is a beautiful way to feel vibrant and renewed.   The organic tea mixture is so pretty too!

Easily drop the muslin bag of tea under the running water.  I squeezed it several times during my bath to allow the richness inside the bag to seep out.

The last type of bath Osmia Organics provides is a silky organic milk bath.   This bath gives milky butter soft skin!  Cozy up underneath the supple milky water with a stack of books for some skin TLC.

Body oils are a step above your average body lotion!  They are the perfect accompaniment to the classic bath.  RIGHT after you step your toes out of your bath, apply body oil to your damp skin and let it soak in to nourish your body.  Osmia body oils are made of true, organic, essential oils.

All of the fragrances of Osmia Organics are "in the moment" scents.  They are natural and fresh, without the heavy lingering smell of commercialized fragrances.  Instead, the fresh smells heighten the peaceful tone of your experience, making you feel fresh, aware, and relaxed.

Osmia Organics defines "osmia" as the sense of smell.  I believe the sense of smell is the most overlooked of our five senses.  To have a full life, we should try to embrace awareness of all five of our senses!   I SO appreciate smells and relate them to so many things in life.  Scents instantly bring your emotions and experiences together.  Some of my favorite moments to inhale are: fresh rain, clean laundry, homemade baking bread, Christmas pine trees, and sudsy soap.

I hope you're inspired to make some paused moments in your daily life!
Cheers to tranquility and peace,

Live your life by the example of the dying

I wanted to share this story I found on facebook.  This is a story of how a dying teenager taught the living how to REALLY LIVE.  No one lives forever but this guy's life had a solid expiration date.  So, he stood up and lived the rest of his days.

His lessons are so valuable!

- Intentionally make people feel happy every day, instead of always trying to make ourselves happy.

- Notice everything: beautiful things will become more beautiful, love will become richer, experiences will be deeper.

- Invest in your relationships.  Tell people that you love them, and WHY you love them.  Spend quality time with those you love...REAL time, meaningful time.

- Own each moment, every minute of time we're given and make it amazing, living each day as if it were truly our last.

- Never sacrifice quality of life for longer life.

- Dream, dream, and keep dreaming.  It's never too late.

- Be a person of depth: depth in spirit, depth in love, depth in thought and in action!

- Don't live in fear, instead live in joy.
