Christmas Magic Home Tour 2010

Endless decorating, a beautiful reason why the holidays top my list of favorite things. I actually enjoy the calm simplicity that January brings too, but I also milk December and participate in the over indulgence it brings. My boys each get their own trees in their rooms and that is their special area to make festive. I get to play with the rest of the house. I gave a little virtual home sweet home holiday tour last year too but I change my decor a bit each year.

Our entrance to a comfy Christmas home! Wreaths hanging by twine and a Merry Christmas greeting.

The puffy snowman with lime green hat was the first Christmas decoration we bought as MARRIEDS.

Our mantel is different this year. I already posted on the details, but it reflects a pure and natural scene for the focus of the nativity.

Star of wonder, star of light:

These Pottery Barn stockings are my favorite Christmas treasure I own!

I made an adorable framed winter collage on the staircase wall. I will share more on those fun details in an upcoming post! Baby it's cold outside!

The boys and I also made pom pom snowball garland this year! It has a lot of cute personality. I will also be sharing those details in an upcoming post too.

A place of quiet reflection...
warm simplicity with muted colors...
With the charm of worn and torn ruffles.
Snow in the jars, love it.

More snow in jars...

Incorporating holiday books throughout our home and in the decor gives off a magic holiday spirit for our boys.

This is also a favorite of mine! This dried sage garland is from the high desert, appropriate for the area we live. It is extra unique, which makes me a fan.

The sage garland dances in front of our office doorway.

Our little rustic Colorado office tree filled with berries and vintage charm.

A bit of glam for the more formal part of the house...

This shelf brings me back to my hometown and the forever loved, Lake Powell. This frame holds a moment of our boys on the beach during the holidays a few years ago. And it always gives me a smile.

Rustic kissing balls and candles playfully balanced on candlesticks...

We've always had a gingerbread kitchen. I made this paper sack gingerbread boy when I was probably 10 or 12 years old. And the candy garland is from my childhood bedroom tree.

Cottage love for the dining room...

My "cute as a button" corner remains the same as last year.

Counting down the days...

And the coffee table stayed the same too. Roses, crystals, and shabby ruffles.
Perfection for this mama.

This is my happy corner. It has my snowmen that make me smile over and over again. Their signs read: "Joyful....Me too".
That's our motto lovers.
;)

Some classic vintage grace.

Remembering solid Christmas carols...

This pedestal was specially designed by Kotah, my partner in creating.
I didn't change a thing.

A reminder to make the minutes count. They are all so valuable. Ornament balls balanced in a jar with origami stars.

And that's a wrap...finally! {wink}

A whimsical goodbye from our sparkly snowman. (from Tinsel & Company, a charming holiday online boutique)

Thank you for sharing in my holiday excitement
and blessing on your December days.
