What do you do with a FAVORITE tree skirt when you don't have a tree?!
Drape it over the entryway of course.

I didn't do Christmas cards (for the first time EVER!!)
OR
a Big, Main Christmas tree this year!
But somehow Christmastime just goes on,
not noticing these 2 major holiday traditions I neglected.
I'm hoping the boys won't notice the absence of the Main tree,
since our home is spinning in other Holiday Magic decor.

We actually spend Christmas Eve night and Christmas Day at my parent's house.
It feels like we are away at a Rustic Retreat
with snow folding us in on every side.
Have I ever mentioned the talent my parents have with holiday decorations? They can put together some dazzling decor. Since we'll have our presents under their tree, I thought I would show it!

beautiful! We almost didn't put our tree up and I will not have time for xmas cards, this is the first year I haven't sent out cards it has been crazy busy and Will has been sick. Hope you are doing well.
That is my type of tree! I also love your decor that you shared in your previous post. You went all out!!!
Living it up at Lakewood,
Cindy
What a lovely tree! I love the rustic and sweet elements.
what a FANTASTIC tree :D
Their tree is beautiful!
Love your parent's tree. Is it real? I cannot tell.
Their tree is beautiful! You're so lucky to have such a beautiful home to spend the holidays in (by the way, LOVE the photo of your boys above their mantle! Such proud grandparents!!)
Makes me a little envious that my parents are gone. I feel badly that my son doesn't have them to spoil him rotten.
girl...you ROCK!!! that tree is outstanding and that's an understatement!
good idea with the tree skirt too!
Very pretty! Thanks for sharing your holiday cheer with us.
Gorgeous, Lisa! I love their tree. And I love your tree skirt display. Something tells me the boys will think all is fine! :-)
XO,
Sheila :-)
I absolutely LOVE this tree! Your parents certainly know how to decorate! I never would've thought to put mittens on a tree or use over-sized bells as ornaments and/or a topper! Fantastic!
I love that you found somewhere else to put your tree skirt. GOD BLESS AND MERRY CHRISTMAS
Your parents' tree is wonderful. So is the fireplace and that adorable picture above it.
Your parents' tree is so lovely...but the very best decoration is the photo of your children. (I bet they agree!)
Hugs,
Jane (artfully graced)
We have not put a tree up some years-I like what you did with the tree skirt-very creative!
I LOVE all the Christmas decorating! You can tell you have inherited your mothers creativity! I LOVE the tree, especially the topper! =) Everything is soo cozy and warm. =)
What, no Christmas card?! I NEED that Lissy! It's something that I look forward to all year long! In fact, I was hoping this years card would make it into Moore Minutes. Hmm, perhaps I can overnight a letter to Santa...
I scrolled right through the bottom of this post by mistake and into the next one. It took me a second to realize I had left their house and was looking into ours. It's obvious where you get your fantastic sense of class and style! Remind me to thank your mom for instilling that in you. I can't wait to be settled into their house on Christmas eve. It's a very special time at a very special place. Your mom does such a good job with all the details. Without her special touch's (like the tree) Christmas wouldn't feel complete.
I LOVE your parents tree!! I think it is perfect! It has a wonderful blend of rustic, yet colorful. So great! Very festive!
Your moms tree is just beautiful! What a fantastic keepsake the rocking horse is. In my travels through blogland, it is the handmade gifts from loved ones that people seem to treasure more than any others.
I've come over to look at a few of your fabulous projects. All great ideas, but OMG are your kids ADORABLE..LOL
Lisa
I love the snow and all the old fashioned ornaments. So organic and authenically holiday. FABULOUS!!
