Monster Cookies with Monster Milk & Other Unique Gifts from etsy, etc.

This post should have gone up BEFORE Father's Day because I'm sharing gifts ideas.  But my dear husband reads every post I write so obviously I couldn't post it. {wink}  We don't usually exchange *GIFTS* for the Mama and Papa Days but I had to bend break the rules this year because I found some treasures that I couldn't resist getting for Chris and I didn't want to hide them until Christmas like I usually do.  I'm actually getting less patient as I get older, hummm.

Thank goodness for friends who find super cool things for me!  Two of these gift ideas were shared with me from two special friends. And both gifts were the IDEAL choice for Chris because they covered two of his passions.

Patty, a longtime friend, whom I've always admired and always LOVED sent me the info on YOUBARS.  This website was awesome! I was able to custom make protein bars for Chris, hand selecting every single ingredient.  I chose the fruit, how much protein I wanted, the carbs, and any extras.  I created an almond cherry oat bran bar.

I designed my own creation then had fun picking a name for his protein bars: CHRIS MOORE'S FUEL.  You can also create your own protein shakes, cereal, and trail mix.  These gifts work well for any fitness junkies and health lovers that you may know.  The only drawback to this site is the price.  They are expensive, even if you have coupons to use.

The boys and I wrapped them up in a tin from Target with some leftover holiday tinsel.  I finished it off with a velum tag.

The boys didn't need to do chores to work off this next gift because it was from YOURS TRULY.  He really is an incredible Daddy and one of my favorite things in life is simply watching and observing his style of parenting.   I gave him a tiny gift of sentiment.  As you know from his Rock On Birthday party dinner, guitars are one of his life loves.    My special girl, Brandi, showed me etched silver guitar picks on etsy and I knew I had to snag on for Chris!

Isn't this play on words  just so adorable?!

The boys think their Dad is a real life superhero!  They watch everything he does with wide-eyed wonder.  My mom bought him a card with a Superman pin, adding to his already larger than life reputation, haha. ;)

And now...MORE treats from his boys!  Of all our boys, Dakotah is most like me.  He gets extra happy and excited when he is creating and when he is planning something special for someone.  He wore his chef gear ALL day in anticipation for baking time with Mama.

He had his OWN idea to...."make Daddy monster sized cookies for Father's Day."  So, we pulled out his cooking gear and mixed up some Monster cookies, stuffed with white chocolate, dark chocolate, and M&Ms.

He has his own cooking tools...

Dakotah and I worked together and he was excited to learn some special cookie baking secrets along the way...

We rolled the dough into baseballs.  These cookies were the big time...almost bigger than Chris' hand, and that is pretty big. ;)

We served them with a huge glass of monster milk in a chilled jar because Chris consumes monster size portions of everything.

Dakotah was SO excited to give his gift that he ran outside as Chris drove up the driveway from work and he exclaimed, "Daddy! I have a surprise for you.  When you come inside, plug your nose and close your eyes!!".

He used his best 8 year old handwriting for the tag...

Cameron enjoys inventing games as gifts.  For Father's Day he thought up a challenging "Donut King" game for Chris to play.  It was hilarious!  And I so adore the way Cameron created paper donuts for the game!

cutest donuts ever!

All of the surprises awaited Chris on his office desk...

These ideas can be used anytime for anyone, not just for Father's Day.  Discovering unique gifts is something I always desire to do and I'm SO HAPPY when I discover super cool gifts!

And Christopher,
I pick you today.
Over and over again.
Your style of parenting
WOWs me constantly.

Dakota's cookies look so good! I am tempted just by looking at them. And a custom-made game with DONUTS!!! How inventive! I know Chris was thrilled with the made-with-love gifts. That's the kind of man he is...

This fathers day was especially meaningful. I know I am supposed to pick my favorite thing about it, but I really can't. From Kotah's oh so perfectly sized (and amazing tasting) monster cookies, to Skyler and Titus' doughnut king game, and especially to my silver guitar pick, and custom protein bars, I loved EVERYTHING. This post makes me smile ear to ear :-D Thank you Sweetheart. And please hug and thank the boys for me again too!
