AND, Another Christmas to Remember

Capturing each moment at my parents for the holidays...

The house is dressed in holiday glam

Christmas Eve always has a buffet of holiday cookies.

We recite Luke 2 and sing carols on the Night before Christmas.
My brother and my Dad play a little "Joy to the World" duet
(in a very cute beginner-y type of way!) ;)

The first gift unwrapped is on Christmas Eve,
and it's always a pair of jammies.
This year a little stuffed animal was tucked into the box as well.

Skyler reads a Christmas story to his brothers
before the LONG night starts
.
(My little boys are just SO darn cute!) :D

My parents have a tradition of
hiding a stuffed animal in the boys' sleeping bags
every Christmas Eve!

An array of shiny packages and bows awaits the morning hours.
The elves arrange them all under the tree upstairs while the boys try to sleep downstairs.

And it's finally Christmas morning!
Titus is searching for a present with his name on it...

Sooo excited!

Santa brought a new electric guitar!

Breaking for a hot breakfast of
homemade sweet rolls
with a candy and gingerbread table.

You can click photo to enlarge.
(and yes, a WHITE Christmas!)

And the table transforms a bit
for Christmas Prime Rib Dinner...

My Mom's whimsical little centerpiece.

Christmas bows are on more than just packages.

Happy Sweet Christmas!

Oh, Lisa Renee! How happy I am that you are my daughter!!! What fun we had together this holiday season, including our month of all day long shopping Fridays:) Thank you so much for all your behind the scene thoughtful touches that made it all come together just right. Let's see a few would be... all those beautiful cookies you brought for Christmas Eve, helping seemingly everyone with their shopping, our Christmas Eve gift of Sees's candy, making the traditional Family Favorite potatoes, and yes the homemade sweet rolls for breakfast, and of course those delightfully cute bows you tied on our Christmas dinner napkins and silverware. Your joy, energy, and thoughtful ways, make me smile. Love you so much!!! Mom

Lisa have I told you how gorgeous your little boys are? They are just so beyond precious!!! You are a blessed family indeed my friend.

What a beautiful Christmas setting. I just adore the mountains and scenery. Sigh...:)

Thank you for your sweet visit today and for asking about my healthy eating plan. It is going FANTASTIC!!! I have lost 35 pounds as of today and I am just thrilled ith that! I have about 8 more to go to call it my goal. My B/P is so low now as well. I head back the doctor in January so I will see if they take me off the B/P meds then. I'll post an update on my blog at my 4 month mark coming up. I'm feeling much better these days too! We actually walked 4 miles last night. I never would have thought I could do that. My legs felt like they were falling off. He!

Many Blessings & Happy New Year!
~Warmly, ~Melissa :)

Thanks for stopping by my blog. I've enjoyed visiting yours as well. You have some awesome pictures and cute kids. All the Christmas cookies and goodies make me hungry and that view from the windows around the table is breathtaking! I love Colorado anyway, but that's incredible.

I had to laugh when I read that you're 27 and want to be younger. I have nearly 19 years on you and I'd like to be 27!

Oh my goodness. I just read the comment left by your mom and not only do we share the same first name, we share the same middle name too! Except mine is spelled the boys way (Rene'). I don't know if your mom's "real" name is Sunshine or that is just a nickname, but we called my sister Sunshine all through childhood. Isn't this wild! We have so much in common. We really have to meet someday!!

I can't wait to see all the fun projects you're going to do this year. Thanks about the chalkboards. I got the pieces from Hobby Lobby for .75 cents and used chalkboard spray paint on them. I love them too. Sometimes the best things are the cheapest. Happy New Year!
