The un-birthday ART AND MUSIC PARTY lunch surprise stop (part 3 of 3)

For the last and final blog post of Titus' ART & MUSIC HUNT birthday, I'm sharing the lunch stop!  We had 8 special clues throughout the day that led us to a variety of art and music activities and this stop was RIGHT in the middle to break for lunch and celebration.  To see the full details of the complete hunt, click here.

This is what the boys found when they came into the restaurant!

I picked a restaurant with a lot of artistic charm, downtown vibe, and live music.  Main Street Bagels fit perfectly for our party day theme!

When we arrived, Titus got to choose a pastry from the bakery case.  Mmmm

Colorful art on the walls and vintage love...

Our lunch was fresh, fresh for a spring day!

A fun stop in the middle of the day to break up to ART & MUSIC surprise hunt.

Each place setting for the boys had a mini easel
with no other embellishment but their names.

One easel nameplate, one jazzed up milk, and one glittery placemat for each boy.

Who needs cake and ice cream when you have milk and cookies?

I also bought a collection of those flavored milk straws for the boys to add swirl into their milk for a special treat.

Cookies N Cream, banana, strawberry...you CHOOSE!

I added glittery circle stickers to the milk to jazz it up for a BIRTHDAY!

Instead of a cake,
I made sugar cookie "paintbrushes"
and colored frosting "paint".

Which color would you dip your sugar paintbrush into first?

The sugar cookie paintbrushes were clustered in a clear paint tin.

Happy Birthday Titus!

To add to the MUSIC theme,
we went to a restaurant with live music
and the musician played and sang
"HAPPY BIRTHDAY" to Titus.

Still singing...

Wish is made!

All blown out and ready to dig in.

This is far more fun than a fork.  Seriously.

Sprinkles!

To finish off our time at lunch,
Titus opened a music gift.
BELLS.

We figured out how to play some classic songs.
It was so fun!

Then it was time to move forward with our day and finish the 8 clues to the ART & MUSIC HUNT! This was a very "un-party" birthday, filled instead with anticipation of 8 secret clues that took us all through town on a Music and Art adventure!

Lisa, this is the most creative party idea I have ever read. Cudos...I know the boys had fun, especially Titus.

I am adding this to my stash of ideas for our grandkids...and I am sharing it with my niece, for her artsy daughter. This would be so perfect for Hartley!
Hugs,
Jane

"Who needs cake and ice cream when you have milk and cookies?" So much wisdom in those words!

This was a very cool party. I enjoyed the non-traditional feel, combined with all the extra special touches. Titus did too!
