A tisket, a tasket: springtime & Easter home decor!

Spring means NEW, the warm but short hints of new sunshine.   Spring means FRESH, the brave, bright green, fresh blades of grass peeking through the solid dirt.  Spring means REDEMPTION, a chance to start over with new life, being redeemed from our past.

Spring is also pretty pastels in a cluster of soft colors, painting our beautiful earth.  And this girly girl loves pastels and flowers____________ and flowers and pastels.

I used my sweet ABC paper cups (also used for this summer game and for our ice cream truck party) to create a shelf display.

I also added some layered swaggg using the pastel-dyed doily garland I made last spring.

Our house has SPRING ON for this brief season.

Just a pinch of whimsy on the shelf...

Circles of green with baby pastel flowers celebrating beauty...

My pair of ducks from my Grandma,
which I remember from my childhood...

I pulled out all my soft-colored dishes.
I can't even pick my favorite color, I love them all!

A cartful of bright, giant plastic fun for the little people...

I gathered all our books about rabbits in my childhood Easter basket
and set it by my heavenly cloud beanbag for springtime reads.

My all-time favorites,
The Country Bunny and the LITTLE Gold Shoes
with Cadbury mini eggs to snack on with each turn of the page.

My boys made this flower bouquet for me!
They ran inside, tightly holding this cluster of weeds pretty flowers,
climbed up on the counter leaving dirt behind,
grabbed a glass,
splashed water everywhere while filling the glass,
and excitedly displayed "flowers for Mama" on this shelf.

We pull out light spring sheets,
pack away cozy flannels
and exchange fur-lined purses
 for airy spring bags:

My all-time fav anthro love purse.
So pretty, makes this housewife smile.

Found.
An real deal egg carton from the 1950s.
Adorably perfect.

A-tisket a-tasket
A green and yellow basket

I'll be reading with my front door wide open,
sitting on the door ledge,
just hanging out with my happy new door mat.

Enjoy your springtime friends.
Make sure you see it and live it.
Because this is some kind of special life we get to experience.

Check back later today for a
  pink tulip Easter table setting.
And wow! This is the first time ever that I've posted twice in one day.

I love the tulips in the little buckets and the doily banner. I still want to make one of those. Your door mat is awesome. Did you make it or purchase it? I hope your sweet family had a Happy Easter. I just have to tell you how much I adore you. xo
