I'm a lover of the seasons.
It seems Magic fairy dust mists from our Colorado skies
to create the drastic season changes!
Winter, spring, summer, fall...each have unique things to celebrate.

Here are some of my early summer loves....
Cherries are my favorite!
They are so cute
and and each hang from their little stems in flirty ways.
I can't wait for a bowl of red cherries this June!

Romantic nights with flea market little lanterns
embellish the charm of early summer with unique lighting.

Speaking of fire and light,
something I DON'T have BUT would LOVE to have is an outdoor fire pit.
How fun for midnight summertime talks around the fire!
Do you have a backyard fireplace?
There are so many styles to choose from!
I'm all about the copper accents of this one!
Visit a variety of choices here.

Ohhhh! And these innovative table torch pots are super sophisticated!
Wouldn't they be the IDEAL way to create atmosphere for a hot party BBQ?
More copper...my favorite!

Chris and I agree that the highlight of our days
in the EARLY summer is our evening walks or bike rides followed by
chatting together in our little front yard SPOT.
The weather is always just right, not too hot or too cold.

I purchased these from Restoration Hardware on an incredible sale!
The key is to "OPPOSITE SEASON" shop! I am a HUGE fan of quality products but I always appreciate a discount.
So I buy holiday decor in the summer and outdoor furniture in the winter.
It never fails, prices are drastically slashed.

Planting flowers is the official way to start the sunny season.
My favorite flowers to plant are LILIES!!
They are so exciting because of the little anticipation
of waiting to watch them open into huge flowers.
You can read about my Lily Story I posted last summer here.
I'm the girl who loves fresh SMELLS.
These freshies are wrapped and tied with twine
on my favorite scalloped edge table.
Folding away our heavy winter bedding
and replacing them with bright quilts
in early summer
gives our house the happy, bold color of the season.

Curling up inside with a fun book
on a hot summer afternoon is always a cool escape.
My new Flirty Apron is ready
for potato salad makin' time!
Obviously the natural outdoors CHANGES to welcome the transforming seasons, but what little ways can you transform your home SWEET home to match Mother Nature's personality?

I love your colorful apron, flowers and summery stuff. I want an outdoor fire pit too. THat's on my summer wishlist. Our summer is off to a late start here in Southern Cal.
love this post because summer is my absolute favorite! It reminds me of our Page neighborhood family, lots of kids running around in the street playing kick the can! :o) Cherries remind me of Pam and Scotts- we used to pick and eat too many in their backyard.
Mike and I have a firepit and it is our favorite thing by far... just sets the mood for good chats and always invites people in.
I am ready to get out in our garden to plant as well- I really love Hostas and Hydrangeas- they are so fresh and cooling... I think its time to take my coffee out on the patio to enjoy this weather :o)
Hey, girlfriend, you won my candy wrapper giveaway :).
We always plant our garden and then dust/clean off the deck and enjoy dinners out back. It's my favorite "summer's almost here" tradition. We get very little spring, so we have to take advantage of it!
That apron is so cute! Did you sew it yourself? Remember making aprons in our little homeschool sewing class? I wish I had paid better attention because I haven't a clue how to sew with a pattern now.
Lisa what a charming post! The change of seasons always gives me a thrill!
I L.O.V.E. those little flea market lanterns and I think I'm going to steal that idea and make some!!!
I so agree about the firepit! I've been begging my hubby for one! Something about a crackling fire (especially on a crisp fall night)...
Thanks for this inspirational post!

I am so with you on cherries. I anxiously await them every year!
I would love to have a fire pit. My sister and her family have one and we spent last weekend roasting marshmallows around it. So fun! I love cherries too - can't wait for some fresh cherry pie!
XOXO

I just picked up a snow blower at the GW! As you know Colorado has crazy weather, you never know! All of the great winter stuff is hitting the thrift stores, it's a great time to think ahead!!
I love at the inspiration! We've got a similar table set that we use on the front porch, it's a great place for morning coffee and evening Popsicles.
Hello sweet Lisa - I'm visiting from The Inspired Room! Thank you for sharing your summer faves. Love those lanterns and sweet apron!
Blessings,
Marie
