folded little hands in Easter Service
Spring is simple. fresh. peaceful.
Our home gets some pastel lovin once a year...
The boys get EXTRA excited every season as they pull out timeless, treasured decor...and that makes this mama very happy. ;)
My childhood Easter basket,
which has held lots of chocolate bunnies
and colored eggs through the years...
My little lovey ducks,
the first Easter decor I bought as a married.
Each of us has a happily ever after,
discover it, and
celebrate yours.
Our boys wait impatiently each season
for the new chalkboard message to appear...
Egg-dyed doily garland,
see here for the how-to.
Heirloom treasures from my Grandma.
I have lots of memories of her beautiful home at Easter time
with candy tucked into every bit of decor.
In my second life,
I will have fresh flowers
delivered to my doorstep
every single day.
Springtime for boys means bare feet
and plenty of dirt.
The boys tried planting a "tree" all on their own initiative.
But it is only a broken tree branch...sad!
Still, they did an awesome job!
They were so proud of their work.
I love how they put stakes on either side,
held up with circles of big rocks.
Grow tree, Grow.
A fun springtime activity to do
with the little people in your life
is to fill Easter baskets with picnic lunches
hang the basket over old bicycle handles
and find a nearby park.
Yarn, ribbon, and sequins
in place of colors on eggs
to keep things fresh.

Spring has come when you can put your foot
on three daisies.

Lisa, what an ADORABLE little girl you were!! Still are, just in a different way :-)
Who knew spring started inside our house and worked it's way out into the world? It does though. The warmth starts with the chalkboard sign and works its way through every room, and eventually into the yard, etc.
Fresh flowers every day? Hmmm, I will have to work on that one.
We need to get the boys a real tree. It would be fun for all of us to watch their work grow.
What a beauty you are Lisa. I love to see what you put together always such inspiration. Have a wonderful weekend.
Much love to you & your beautiful family
xoxo

Enjoyed ur post, i especially love the jellybean jars, what a wonderful way to add color and a touch of spring...Planting a tree can be such a rewarding celebration of life.....We planted a small magnolia in the front yard, Me, Mr. Romantic and our then 6 yr old, well now 20 yrs later that tree soars over us all, and is a beautiful reminder of the sense of family we all feel in this home. The shade it provides to the front of the house a symbol of the protection and sheilding provided by God's love for us all. Every year, Mr. Romantic picks the first blossom and puts it in a bowl of water on the dining room table. The house smells so good, and he didnt have to go far to bring me a flower........planting a tree, definately a good thing! Im happy to have found ur blog, will be checking back, have a great Sunday, ur latest follower, Bonnie
First, I have to say that Mini You stole the whole show! How adorable! I wish I had a picture of me like that as I remember always getting an Easter bonnet, new white patent leather shoes and gloves. How special it made Easter Sunday.
I love your idea of taking the easter baskets and doing a picnice lunch. I have the kids old baskets and that would be such a fun new tradition. Lovin' it!
I love that ceramic egg holder, where did you get that???
Sweet post! Love seeing the boys into the Easter bin!
Happy Easter to you!

I love the little egg holder. The colors are so sweet. I need to get my decorations out- thanks for reminding me of how much it means to the little ones. ;)

Love your pictures and your style! Stopping by from Shabby Nest
I love this version of your Easter decoration. Pastel type of color bring it to life and more. I am excited to try this one out, since holy week is just around the corner. I think I have to redesign my City Gate Condo Singapore using this inspiration. ThanksLisa
