be safe. learn lots. have fun.

Haircuts and perfectly-tied shoes, sharpened pencils and brand new books. Back to School season is a fresh start to an organized and tidy life...LOVE THAT!

Last September I wrote a blog post about these sweetly sharpened pencil cookies that I made for a back to school treat. Michelle, at Someday Crafts blog is showcasing a treasure collection of Back to School ideas this week and she featured my pencil cookie post!

My sweetly sharpened sugar cookies!

Yes, yes, I want you to go over and read it! {smile}...and while you're there you can jot down a lot of other amazing ideas.

I found the most A.D.O.R.A.B.L.E tags! Paper Eclectiques is one of my favorite stores on etsy. I have ordered a pocketful of things from them and am always in love!

These tags send the PERFECT message for Back to School:

There are several ways to use the tags. The kids and I made some peanut butter cookies and bundled them up to give to friends as a Back to School treat. Mmmm
You can also secure the tags around lunch food and hide them in little lunchboxes for your kids to discover on their first day back to school.

I am obsessed with monograms! My boys have had these personalized lunchboxes from Pottery Barn Kids for several years and they have proved to be extremely durable and still extra cute. The boys also have matching backpacks, suitcases, and more. Little kids appreciate personalized items.

Sigg bottles ROCK. They keep water fresh, with a clean, clear taste and they are eco friendly. A few years ago my boys found these bottles at the bottom of their Christmas stockings and they have been a staple on their desks during homework and study times ever since. Staying hydrated is the key to straight A's right?

Sigg Water please

Sooo.....
be safe,
learn lots,
and have fun.

The whole purpose of education
is to turn mirrors into windows.

Has it really been a year since you made the pencil cookies? Time does fly, doesn't it? My favorite thing about this post is it is just so YOU! I can hear you saying every happy word. And what is this about little kids appreciating personalized items? I'm pretty sure I know at least one momma that loves them too!

Alright, lady. You've finally done it. I'm going to bake something and it's all your fault.

My kids are going to love decorating the pencil cookies!

Your blog has become my absolute {FAVORITE}! Love this post (and I know I say that on every single one of them!)

The cookies are positively perfect! How incredibly cute, Lisa! Love the little tags, too!

I totally agree about personalization of things - for kids and ADULTS. In this great big world, we all feel a little small and insignificant...how nice to carve out one's niche in this big 'ole world wth something as little as a personalized backpack or lunch bag!

Keep up the GREAT work, girl!! :)

Lisa, you are SO talented. You never cease to amaze me. Loved this post.

Just checking in from my blog break and will hopefully be back to blogging after the first of September. There is a lot going on that is demanding my undivided attention. Life can get in the way of fun at times! ;-)

Hope all is well with you and that the boys are all adjusting to life back at school.

XO,

Sheila :-)
