Although we grow weary of the muted sunshine and the long, dark nights, I count this season a quiet gift. It's not often with our hurried modern lifestyle that we are forced to slow down and be quiet. God has given us all a perfect balance with the seasons! Each season has bundles of blessings for us to enjoy! I hope the slow stillness of this winter has allowed you the time to quietly reflect and savor the moments of the ONE life you get to embrace here on earth.
"In Quietness and Trust is your Strength."
-Isaiah 20:15
-Isaiah 20:15
With spring and summer dancing ahead, all of our spirits will be ready to scream on the top of our lungs while surrounded with friends, to laugh and run in the water, and to remember to take things lightly and with a carefree heart too!

Great post! I do love your thoughts of the quietness of winter.God's words spoken by Isaiah are so wise...in quietness and trust, there is strength. When we slow down and focus on God, we gain so much...it's a recharging of the human batteries...the strength to carry on.
Here in central FL, with our subtle seasonal changes, it's difficult to find the "quiet" of winter. This is the time I truly miss...at least for a few days a year. Today, the sun is shining brightly, the sky is "winter blue", and although the temperature is cool (58 degrees right now), the sun has warmed the day. Our "fall" is taking place right now, too....that's where the new growth is pushing the old leaves off the trees. Pollen is forming a film on the pool and covering the cars...and azalea and camelia blooms are beginning to appear. It truly is a glorious time of year...
Quiet Hugs,
Jane
I adore the wall quote from Isaiah. Oh, that chicken chili sounds so yummy right now! I'm surely going to cook that up this week. Thank you so much for sharing!

Mmmmm. White chicken chili...YUM! Farewell Winter and HELLO Spring!!
Lovely thoughts. It is nice to be able to slow down a bit. I've tried to do that this last week while traveling. I gave my undivided attention to Mr. Magpie, and we had a great time. No computers on the trip. He deserves that.
XO,
Sheila :-)
I wish winter was ending, but it seems like it is going to last forever here in Michigan...just a few more months, I PRAY...and I love that Isaiah verse...so peaceful!
i'm wishing for warm weather too but chicken chili sounds good during these cold days!! yum.
I'll have to keep this in mind as I'm cursing out winter. :)
I've LOVED this winter and have found it to be anything BUT slow! We've been out and about, traveling, reeling from the excitement of the Olympic games, enjoying the unprecedented snowfall we've had, and enjoying all of the wonderful family togetherness and tummy-warming comfort food that frosty winter brings!
