A Big, Sweet Hug for the USA

I'm proud to be an American....

I adore our:
boldness
ambition to chase dreams
enthusiasm
humor
charity and compassion
decisiveness
ability to make things happen
intense love

and...how brightly Americans color this world!

We started celebrating this week by making our own CLASSIC pinwheels, with a little button securing them in the middle.

I wish I was more patient...I am not very good at crafts and I also have a habit of rushing to finish things. NEXT time, I hope to not take over so much and let the boys explore more as they create. I feel a little sad about that...

We also baked some super sweet sugar stars to save for this weekend.

We put some on sticks next to mini pinwheels for some playful whimsy.

Little boys anxiously waited for a taste...

Kotah quickly and quietly added his own patriotic decor to mine as a surprise for me! He made Lego fireworks and Lego flags.

He wanted his flag right next to my flag.

And here is a mini SNEAK PEAK of our holiday weekend. This photo was from a PAST 4th of July. My mom made cones dipped in white chocolate and covered with sprinkles. I am doing that this year along with an Ice Cream Sundae Bar!

I am sincerely grateful for the founders of this beautiful country and respectfully celebrate the beginning of the USA.

Go, be an American this weekend!

Laugh,
don't take yourself too seriously...
but still put your hand over your heart,
Love,
eat a hamburger,
and drink a coke!

So festive! Looks like you had a good time.

I know what you mean about being patient enough to let them do their own thing. But then again, those items might not wind up on your blog.

Thanks so much for being a party of "Summer Sundays".
