Handy Girly Girl

See what THIS PROJECT started? . . .
now I'm on a roll . .
.

I've tried a lot different things so far in this little life. But I just broke through some new ground and I am super excited about it! I've never ever done anything like this before!

I've painted a bit (I'm too impatient to do it often),
And I've hammered a few nails,
but that is it.

Be on the lookout, because I'm going to reveal my new project in the next week or two. It has to do with:

me in my new fantastic safety glasses

AND

this beast

In fact, I'm convinced that I now need one of these cute little girly tool belts!
And maybe some pink Snap On Tools?? I found this adorable tool belt here on etsy

(don't you just love etsy?!)
.

The most intriguing thing about trying something brand new is what you learn about yourself.
This project that I'm talking about is something that I thought I would dread and hate...BUT, after trying it, I am loving it! I anticipate waking up each day and doing more! It is addicting.

I have always LABELED myself. For example, "I'm organized but not at all creative". I've said that about myself for years. But now, I'm learning new things.
It is so fascinating to see what happens when we allow ourselves to escape from the box we place ourselves in and cut away our self-imposed boundaries.

-Who are you really?

-How have you labeled yourself?

-Are you who you think you are....or is it possible that there are things you don't yet know about yourself?

-Take a little challenge to go out there and try something that you never envisioned yourself doing...what are the possibilities?

P.S. The reveal is coming soon...

I know this post wasn't particularly about this, but it really struck me. "How have you labeled yourself"? Or in my case, how have I labeled myself? Good Job Lissy! You have inspired me once again! 1610

Hey! You're my 50th follower! Too bad I don't have some great gift to give out. Good luck homeschooling this year (I DID read that you are homeschooling right?, you ever have any questions just ask. I am no pro, but we've been at it for 9 years! In fact I have a highschooler this year!)

You go girrrrrl!!!! Can't wait to see your creation. I loved this post. I label myself way too much and it really does impede progress/potential when you do that. Thank you!

Excited to see what you're working on. And have to laugh, because, even though I don't really know you- creative is a word I certainly use to describe you!

I also love that this post has such thought provoking questions at the end.

LOL you crack me up Lisa! I can't wait for the surprise. I love the tool belt...is that really a tool belt? It looks to girly! I want one now. I had a friend ask me to sell jewelry and I said I don't think you know me too well I might sell tools but not jewelry. I think your tool belt find will top off my next career! When can we expect the final project?

Can't wait to see the project. My problem is I'm creative but disorganized, so I have tons of ideas but no real ability to execute them. Maybe I'll try a little harder.

I see you were one of the winner on The Nesters giveaways too!! Congrats!!

You go!

It's always a fun adventure to try something new - even if you turn out to not be very good at it! But I have a feeling that isn't the case with your new venture!

Can't wait to see the big reveal!

Oh and yes, Etsy is AWESOME!!

I can't wait to see the new project. Now I have to say I love the safety glasses. Do I see a hint of nascar on the side. I use my safety glasses to block the dirt flying at the race, but I guess construction projects can use them as well!

That is great tool belt, I think you need one...I admire girls who aren't afriad of power tools and those who look introspectively into themselves in the process! Great post!
