Our hearth and home.
February 14th celebrates the biggest deal in this whole huge world, LOVE. Love is and always has been a big deal. I appreciate that we have a soft, sweet, lil day in February to celebrate the love in our life and to recognize how blessed we all are.
Our home gets a bit of heart fluff around Valentine's Day. I like it that way, the end.
My adorable heart postcards, itty bitty heart candles on top of the heart my mom crocheted for me, and my big heart pillow.
I dressed up as a conversation heart.
Little nerdy.
Chris was far away on a business trip this year and I missed him like crazy!
But he delivered a dozen pretties to my doorstep, making me a giddy girl!
Digging out supplies to make Valentines! These mini conversation heart erasers are super fun for classroom gifts. I found these adorable heart bowls and stickers from Sweet Kaity's etsy shop. She is amazing to work with and ships super fast!
Most of you know, I'm all about traditions.
Cherry Kiss cookies are a V DAY tradition in this house!
Bring on the black! My boys are getting too old for red and pink Valentines. Black raspberry lollipops and hearts of gold valentines for my three favorites.

I also added some black and white to my Valentine red vintage vending machine.
Black ribbons of tied big pretzels for each boy!
They each had a big Hickory Farm pretzel tied around their breakfast chair.
Yumm stuff.
The boys had a Valentine's Day Ice Cream Sundae making party at school.
The boys also made Chris and I sweet Valentines.
Dakotah sent me this text and I think it's the best text I've ever received!
Cameron is so creative and he always thinks up unique ideas.
He wrote poetic riddles that led us on a game through the house,
ending with a shower of paper hearts.
My Dad has brought me flowers on Valentine's Day ever since I was a little girl.
It is a tradition I treasure!
My Mom brought over delicious cookies...
...and a present!
The present was...
Little Snoopy dogs (black and white again!) for the boys.
They ended their day watching Charlie Brown's Valentine.
We also ended the day with a newer tradition of heart pizza!
I'm a sap,
always ready to embrace this love month.
I believe in loving the little things,
our new shoes,
hot breakfasts,
a fresh day,
rainfall,
the smell of baking bread,
and the big things,
old friendships,
our precious littles,
our teammates in life,
our connected family,
the God who gave it all,
and this thing we call life.
I believe love in all relationships is
complex, challenging, soul-jerking,
but always beautiful.
Happy Lover's Day to each of you.
