Made to Order Sandwich Lunch sacks and other school ideas

Squeezed schedules and soccer, homework and play practice, early rising and timed reading, sack lunches and packed morning snacks: school is in session.  This means, we're forced to be extra organized and actually MAKE meals the day before. ;)

I was inspired by the Which Wich restaurants to zest up my boys' lunch hour with "made to order sandwich sacks".  Have you ever dined at Which Wich?  It's a fast sandwich shop, but it's fun because when you order you check the boxes on a printed paper sack with your sandwich preferences.  Their menu is printed on the sack, sent through the line, made to order, and your sandwich is rolled in the bag, and you're good to go!

After eating there, I KNEW I wanted to do something similar for the boys' brown bag lunch days.  I'm not a short order cook, but I'll need to make an exception on these special days.  Whenever the boys see this basket on the kitchen counter before bed, they know they get to place a special lunch order for the next day.

I made the bags with a spot to write their name and with a menu of sandwich choices.

Hmmmm, choices, choices...

PB & J or something different...

A little bit of everything maybe?...

The little extra notes made me smile.

Ready to go

On days they get to use "made to order sandwich sacks" I'll pack their entire lunch in the brown bag instead of using their lunch box...and maybe even leave little notes on the back of the bag...

Sweet sandwiches made to order!

I'm going to be sharing the printable that my husband helped me make for these sacks for YOU to use on FACEBOOK today! So, you could print this onto your own lunch sacks to use.    I recently created a facebook page for my blog and you can find the link to these paper sack HERE: MooreMinutes Facebook page with Sandwich Sack printables.
Feel free to use but remember to link back to MooreMinutes as your source.  Pretty please and thanks!  Tip for printing on paper bags: use masking tape to gently tape down the flap of the bag.  This printable is sized to fit on a regular brown paper lunch sack.

One last tiny idea for the littles before I close!  We've done a lot of parties in this little family through the years and I'm using up all the leftover party napkins for AFTER SCHOOL SNACK NAPKINS.

I keep the napkin basket in my kitchen cabinet with my table setting treasures.
A lot of you ask where I put all my stuff...here's a peek inside some FULL cabinets!

I put all the leftover party napkins in one basket.
Kids like to have choices.

Dino napkins for after school snack today!
Maybe Spiderman napkins tomorrow...

 Enjoy,
and don't forget to head over to Facebook
to print your own lunch sack printable!

I love this idea! Yes, we are not short order cooks but this is the best of both worlds! :)

Hey Caveman...you rock. The special lunch order bags are awesome...way to help out the team.

Wonderful Blogger Wife...you rock, great idea. Also, when someone takes orders from our office to which wich. We make up funny names for each of our office mates. Sometimes, people have to find their orders by the actually order and not the name. This ends up being the topic of conversation during our lunchbreak.

Life is a battle, if you don't know how to defend yourself then you'll end up being a loser. So, better take any challenges as your stepping stone to become a better person. Have fun, explore and make a lot of memories.
