Cookie Tree Forest and Christmas Cookie Resource

Crunches cookie bites, crumbs, counters of spilled flour, stacks of sugared treats, it must be December!  

For the kids' school Christmas party this year I found adorable snowball tree cookies from Better Homes & Garden's website.  The full recipe is there if you're interested.

Rolling 360 tiny snowballs was a bit tedious BUT I had Cameron helping and chatting with me the entire time so we had some precious moments mixed in with impatiently wishing we were finished!

These trees are ready for garland and ornaments!

And soon we had a little cookie forest!

Ready to be plated up and delivered to an energetic group of happy school kids...

The next batch of NEW cookies I tried this year were these delicious sounding French Sables I found on my always favorite, Pen N Paper Flowers Blog.  She has the recipe there too!  

These are classic jam cookies with a baked streusel on top.  Total YUM.  Not too sweet, but just right.

These cookies are baked in muffin tins.

Those are the only new cookies I tried this season!  Outside of that, I'm baking my kids' requested family favorites.  The SAME ones I bake every year.  You know the ones.  I'm sure you each have those traditional family cookies too.  I always love hearing the variety of everyone's favorites! 

Our traditionals include, maple frosties, cream cheese sugars, ribbon cookies, chocolate crinkles, snickerdoodles, and maybe more.  ;) 

Christmas cookies are perfectly paired with Christmas books!  Grab a cookie (or three) and cozy down with a holiday story.
