Deviled Egg Variations & Healthy Ways to use leftover Easter food

Leftover holiday food is a favorite of mine! I have a series of Meal of the Moment posts that give ideas on using up leftovers! I pulled a couple ideas from my archives to share with you FRESH AFTER Easter.

A very smart option
to help you use up any carrots
that the {silly little rabbit} didn't eat.

A unique dip, full of flavor,
made with veggies
and served with Wassa crispbread.

Next up...

Bacon Cheddar Deviled Eggs

I'm sure your fridge is loaded with pretty rows of colored eggs. I made some super delicious bacon-cheddar deviled eggs. Umm, not so healthy but mmm mm good...more like hearty farm cookin'.

The only additional ingredients you'll need outside of your typical deviled egg recipe is bacon and cheddar cheese. Easily add bacon crumbles and shredded cheese to your favorite deviled egg recipe. My eggs had a button of mustard, some mayo, garlic powder, and the twins...salt & pepper.

Get creative and free with YOUR deviled eggs.

Simply prep your deviled eggs and add these varieties:

AVOCADO HEALTHY deviled EGGS
*healthy option*
-discard yolk and add mashed avocado seasoned with garlic powder and black pepper to your egg white

HAM SANDWICH STYLE deviled EGGS
- small square of ham and swiss cheese to the top

CRAB deviled EGGS
- crab meat, minced celery, minced green pepper, Worcestershire, and hot sauce

BLUE CHEESE BBQ deviled EGGS
- blue cheese, hot sauce, bbq sauce, dry mustard, and celery salt

TANGY DILL deviled EGGS
- horseradish and dill weed with black pepper

SOUTHWEST STYLE deviled EGGS
- green chilies, chunky salsa, olives

VEGGIE GARDEN deviled EGGS
- minced red onions, carrots, broccoli, and green pepper

What variations do you like for your deviled eggs?

Share, Share your ideas on yummy ways to use up Easter leftovers...

  3. This was an off year...I made no eggs (bought them, but never got around to doing anything with them). MacDaddy was out of town, arriving in time to go to church. New DIL arrived home in the wee hours after a week+ biz trip in China. DB had a gig at a church north of here.Set up was 3am! MG couldn't get home. Everyone of us napped the day away. That's ok...we'll make up for it later with a huge family dinner. Maybe I'll make EGGS.

BTW...love your egg dish. Where did you find this one?

I hope you guys enjoyed your Easter. Mine wasn't the best (my little guys was so sick).

  9. My husband loves to come up with a creative deviled eggs recipe every year ... this year he added mashed red potatoes to them (he found the recipe on the internet). They were really great tasting - very creamy.

I just love the way you fill your eggs, cutting only the top off instead of cutting them in half. It's so much prettier! Have to try that next time we make them.

  20. I really love the way you displayed your deviled eggs - much nicer than the serving them horizontally.

I'll have to try your asparagus pesto dip too. What a wonderful combination.

I SO treasure EVERY comment. I am not able to respond individually to each one anymore, although I TRULY wish I could! It is hard for me to say that because I love hearing from everyone and sharing back. I still try my best, but it may take awhile! :)

ALSO, I am unable to link up to new link up parties due to time constraints. Thank you for your understanding.

Thank you for EACH lovely note! <3 I appreciate YOU.
