Vacations in a Jar

Make your vacations Unforgettable!

The edges of summer have burnt out and hopefully you all have some memories in your pocket of your summer vacations or mini getaways. There is a special way to keep and display your vacations in a little jar even after your bags are unpacked and you're back to work.

One of my best little girlfriends showed me her "memory jars" a few years ago and I was instantly in LOVE with this brilliant idea! I wanted to copy her ever since! Basically she puts little keepsakes and sentimental treasures and seals them with love in jars, creating a whimsical display of memories!

This is my friend's lineup of
memories in a jar

Isn't this idea genius?

You can make these for special occasions, unforgettable moments, milestones, and fun times too.

Here are a few ideas of treasures
to fill your jars with
:

Graduation: tassel, Senior picture wallet size
New Baby: baby ID hospital tag, flower cards, booties
Engagement: dinner toothpicks/matchbox, rose petals, ring receipts
Birthdays: candles from cake (my friend's idea), gag gifts, trinkets
Vacations: receipts, foreign currency, ticket stubs, beach sand or shells

Right now I am only doing Vacations in a Jar. I only have a couple done BUT if I waited to have it all "just right" I would never be able to share this with you because somehow this little project isn't getting finished! If I EVER finish this adorable idea, I will update you with a bigger lineup of my Memory Jars.

To Begin:

First I gathered and sorted
my vacation scraps and pics...

Then I packed them
into individual jars...

I added labels,
(you can always do hanging labels too)...

And to embellish,
I cut travel themed scrapbook paper
to add to the jar lids...

Here is a sample of what I've started...

This is an enchanting way to save memories for always! And I am super excited about this unique way to hold onto all the good times.

Because scrapbooking
is SOOO yesterday!

{wink}

I SO treasure EVERY comment. I am not able to respond individually to each one anymore, although I TRULY wish I could! It is hard for me to say that because I love hearing from everyone and sharing back. I still try my best, but it may take awhile! :)

ALSO, I am unable to link up to new link up parties due to time constraints. Thank you for your understanding.

Thank you for EACH lovely note! <3 I appreciate YOU.
